On the evening of October 6 (the 15th day of the eighth lunar month), at Dong Nai Provincial Children's House, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee (VFF) of province directed the Provincial Youth Union, in coordination with provincial socio-political organizations, the Department of Health, and the VFF Committee of Tran Bien ward, to organize the “Mid-Autumn Festival Night – Lanterns Lighting Up Dreams 2025” program.

Attending the event were Huynh Thi Hang, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairwoman of the Provincial VFF Committee, and Ha Anh Dung, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial VFF Committee.
Also present were Le Thi Thai, Member of the Provincial Party Committee Deputy Head of Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission of the Provincial Party Committee of Dong Nai; Nguyen Minh Kien, Vice Chairman of the Provincial VFF Committee and Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union; and Nguyen Quoc Dung, Vice Chairman of the Provincial VFF Committee and Chairman of the Provincial Confederation of Labor; along with representatives from the Party Committee, People’s Committee, and VFF Committee of Tran Bien ward.

Speaking at the event, Vice Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairwoman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Huynh Thi Hang affirmed that the Party, the State, and the entire society always give special attention and create the best possible conditions for children to study, train, play in safety, and develop comprehensively.

This year’s Mid-Autumn Festival takes place in a special context, marked by the operation of the two-tier local government model, the provincial merger, and, notably, the successful conclusion of the 1st Provincial Party Congress. The organization of the “Mid-Autumn Festival – Lanterns Light Up Dreams” program stands as a strong affirmation from the Provincial Party Committee, authorities, and people across the province that, under any circumstances, children remain at the center of care and attention, and are always those most deserving of the best that society can offer.

Huynh Thi Hang, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairwoman of the Provincial VFF Committee said that: during this Mid-Autumn season, under the direction of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and the Provincial VFF Committee, the Provincial Youth Union, socio-political organizations, and Dong Nai Children’s House jointly organized Full Moon Festival Nights, Mid-Autumn Festival celebrations and presented thousands of gifts to disadvantaged children, ethnic minority and religious children, as well as those living in border areas of the province, with a total value of over VND 1.4 billion.

Comrade Huynh Thi Hang expressed hope that the children would enjoy a joyful Mid-Autumn Festival while not forgetting their responsibilities, maintaining a spirit of diligence in study, good behavior, solidarity, kindness, sharing, and mutual support, so that as they grow up, they can contribute to building a more prosperous and civilized homeland and nation.
At the same time, she called on departments, sectors, localities, the Vietnam Fatherland Front, and socio-political organizations at all levels to continue strengthening efforts in child protection, care, and education, especially for children in difficult circumstances and those living in special areas, in order to create a favorable environment for their comprehensive development.

During the program, around 1,000 children participated in lantern parades along several streets in Tran Bien ward, watched lion dances, enjoyed music and magic performances, and took part in traditional folk games.

On this occasion, the organizers presented 250 gifts to disadvantaged children. The Provincial Youth Union also mobilized the Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund to award 30 scholarships to local children.
