Over 128 million VND for Hoang Nghia Phat's leukemia treatment

On the morning of October 29, the Dong Nai Association for the Support of People with Disabilities, Orphans and Poor Patients and volunteer clubs, teams and groups carried out an offline connection program to support Hoang Nghia Phat, in Tien Thanh Quarter, Dong Xoai Ward, to treat leukemia.

Hoang Nghia Phat is an 8th-grade student at Tien Thanh Secondary School. He has been diagnosed with leukemia and is currently undergoing his third round of chemotherapy. His family is in difficult circumstances, as both parents work in factories, and their income is barely enough to cover daily living expenses.

Since Phat fell ill, his father has had to leave his job to care for him at the HCM City Hospital of Hematology and Blood Transfusion, while his mother juggles work and household responsibilities. The family also includes a 63-year-old maternal grandmother and two younger children. The eldest son is in 9th grade, and the second daughter, Phat’s twin, is in 8th grade, attending the same class as him. They are currently living with relatives.

In sympathy with Phat's family situation, the program mobilized philanthropists to contribute over 128 million VND. Of this amount, more than 58 million VND was allocated for Phat’s medical examination and treatment, while the remaining 70 million VND was deposited into savings to support his long-term care.
