As part of efforts to contribute to the effective implementation of the resolution on science, technology, innovation and digital transformation, the Provincial Youth Union has recently carried out a number of practical activities. These efforts have helped translate the resolution into action and encouraged innovation and digital transformation among young people.

To ensure that officials, Youth Union members and young people clearly understand and support the implementation process, Youth Union at all levels has intensified activities such as research, study sessions, forums, dialogues and training courses. These efforts have helped equip officials, Youth Union members and young people with digital knowledge and skills, enabling them to better position themselves in the digital era.
Enhancing digital capacity for Youth Union members
Immediately after the Youth Union Central Committee held the National Conference to study and disseminate Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024 of the Politburo on the breakthrough development of science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation, along with the Action Program of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union for the implementation of the resolution, the Dong Nai Provincial Youth Union issued its own Action Program to implement the resolution within the provincial Youth Union system.
One of the objectives of the action program is to disseminate information, raise awareness and drive a breakthrough in innovative thinking among Youth Union members and young people regarding the development of science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation. Since then, the Youth Union at all levels across the province has organized study and research sessions on the resolution for officials and Youth Union members and young people. At the same time, the Provincial Youth Union has carried out various activities to strengthen digital knowledge and skills among officials and Youth Union members and young people.
Most recently, as part of the Dong Nai Province Youth Pioneers for Innovation and Creativity Festival 2025, the Provincial Youth Union held a specialized training session on artificial intelligence (AI). Delivering the session, speaker Nguyen Hung Thang, an expert in science and technology, provided officials and Youth Union members and young people with an overview of the digital labor market in Viet Nam, highlighting popular and in-demand occupations both domestically and globally. In addition to information about job opportunities in the digital era and advice on how to avoid being left behind in the labor market, officials and Youth Union members and young people were also introduced to AI applications in learning and work, particularly in Youth Union tasks and activities of the Youth and Children's Movement.
As the teacher, Head of the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer Organization at Phan Boi Chau Primary School (Long Binh ward), every week, Nguyen Thi Chau Anh organizes Sao Nhi Dong (Children’s Star) sessions for pupils. To make these activities more engaging for children, she has applied information technology by creating PowerPoint slides with animated images, or designing boy and girl characters that exchange information related to the session’s content to bring novelty to the pupils. During the training session, she further learned how to apply AI in Young Pioneer activities. In particular, through the speaker’s sharing, she realized that in today’s era, the application of AI for a Head Teacher in charge of the Young Pioneer Organization not only helps attract members and children, but also ensures she herself is not left behind.
In addition to knowledge and skills in using AI, Youth Union members and young people were also equipped with information security knowledge in the digital era. Beyond providing basic knowledge about digital data, common cybersecurity risks, and security solutions, tools and procedures, experts in the field of cybersecurity also offered advice to help young people protect themselves against online scams and even online kidnapping.
In November 2025, the Provincial Youth Union will organize the 2025 Dong Nai Youth Festival across three wards, namely Chon Thanh, Binh Phuoc and Tam Hiep, featuring various activities, including those that contribute to promoting the spirit of innovation among young people.
Inspiring innovation among Youth Union members and young people
Alongside efforts to provide officials and Youth Union members and young people with digital knowledge and skills, the Youth Union at all levels has also inspired innovation among them through forums, talks and themed activities.
Building on the success of the 2024 Scientific Research Camp for students and young lecturers, this year the Provincial Youth Union and the Dong Nai Provincial Student Association have continued to organize the camp to create a space for students and young lecturers to exchange knowledge, skills and experience, while being further motivated to engage in scientific research. The camp opened with the talk show Accompanying Students in Scientific Research.
Not wanting her university years to pass by in vain, Hoang Thi Trang, a fourth-year student at the Faculty of Accounting and Finance, Dong Nai University of Technology, has taken part in nearly every activity organized by the university, as well as by Youth Union and Students’ Association at various levels. According to Trang, among all the programs she has joined, she considers the scientific research camp to have provided the most valuable knowledge, skills and experience. During the recent talk show Accompanying Students in Scientific Research, hearing experts share their research journeys further fueled her motivation to apply for the second edition of the camp.
In parallel with promoting scientific research, the Provincial Youth Union is also fostering entrepreneurial and innovative mindsets among young members through startup talk show, investment fund networking conferences and meetings with consultants supporting the startup business community. A common feature of these activities is that young participants are able to engage with and hear directly from successful entrepreneurs and experts in the startup ecosystem — influential figures who share both personal experiences and perspectives on current trends in entrepreneurship and innovation. These exchanges offer young people a more comprehensive understanding of the startup landscape, enabling them to make own decisions.
To further nurture innovation among young people, Youth Union, Students’ Association and Young Pioneer organizations at various levels have rolled out a wide range of initiatives, such as the Joining hands for Administrative Reform Contest, Informatics Contest for Young Public Officials, Civil Servants and Public Employees, Robotics Showcases and the Creative with Robots competition, STEM and Robotics Day, and the Dong Nai Esports Championship. These activities have helped affirm the pioneering spirit of Dong Nai’s youth in translating into action Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation and digital transformation.
