Dong Nai’s delegation visits and extends longevity wishes to centenarians

On the occasion of the International Day of Older Persons (October 1), a working provincial delegation led by Pham Thi Mai Huong, Deputy Director of the Dong Nai Department of Health, visited, presented gifts, and extended longevity wishes to typical centenarians in 23 communes and wards in the northern part of Dong Nai province.

At each place of visit, the delegation cordially inquired about the health and spiritual well-being of elderly seniors, acknowledging their contributions to the construction and development of their homeland. The delegation extended longevity wishes, wishing the elderly a joyful and healthy life, and to continue being bright examples for their children and grandchildren to follow.

On this occasion, the delegation presented 41 gifts from the State President, including: a longevity congratulatory card with 5m of silk fabric, gifts, and 1 million VND in cash; 41 gifts from the province, which were golden plaques bearing the inscription: "Phuc nhu Dong Hai, Tho ty Nam Son" (Blessings as vast as the East Sea, Longevity as high as the Southern Mountain) to 41 typical centenarians in 23 communes and wards in the northern part of Dong Nai province.

The activity of visiting and honoring centenarians on the International Day of Older Persons not only reflects the national tradition of “Respecting the elderly brings longevity,” but also helps raise public awareness about the importance of caring for and promoting the role of older persons in the current era.
