On the morning of October 3, at the 5th session of the 10th Dong Nai Provincial People's Council, right after the opening speech, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee (PPC), and Chairwoman of Dong Nai Provincial People’s Council Ton Ngoc Hanh launched a donation drive to support communities affected by Storm No.10.

Sharing at the session, Comrade Ton Ngoc Hanh stated that in recent days, Storm No. 10, accompanied by heavy rain, landslides, and strong winds, has caused severe damage in many northern and central provinces and cities.
As of 3 p.m. on October 2, storm number 10 had left 40 people dead, 21 missing, and 150 injured. It caused 185 houses to collapse and damaged or unroofed more than 167,000 others. Over 58,800 homes were flooded, and 1,435 schools were affected. At the same time, many transport routes were cut off. The full extent of human and material losses has yet to be determined. People in the affected areas are facing immense hardship and are in urgent need of support and timely assistance from the community.

Upholding the nation’s tradition of solidarity and mutual support, with responsibility to voters and the people, the Chairwoman of the Provincial People’s Council called on all delegates to actively contribute and support residents in disaster-hit areas.
Comrade Ton Ngoc Hanh emphasized that all contributions will be received, publicly disclosed, and promptly transparently delivered to affected localities, joining hands with the entire country to support people in storm-hit areas in overcoming difficulties, stabilizing their lives, and restoring production.

Following the launch, all delegates of the Provincial People’s Council donated a total of VND 75 million to support communities affected by Storm No.10. On behalf of the Provincial People’s Council, Member of the PPC and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council Tran Van Mi handed over the donation to Ha Anh Dung, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Committee.
