C.P. Vietnam Corporation donates 1 billion VND to support people affected by natural disasters

On October 17, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee (VFF) of Dong Nai province held a ceremony to receive a donation from C.P. Vietnam Corporation to support people in overcoming the aftermath of recent natural disasters.

The event was attended by Nguyen Thi Minh Nham, Provincial Party Committee member and Editor-in-Chief of Dong Nai Newspaper and Radio, Television; Nguyen Tan Phu, Vice Chairman of the VFF Committee of Dong Nai province; and Nguyen Quoc Khang, Deputy General Director in charge of Administration and Human Resources of C.P. Vietnam Corporation.

On behalf of the Standing Committee of the VFF Committee of Dong Nai province, Vice Chairman Nguyen Tan Phu received a symbolic donation of 1 billion VND from C.P. Vietnam Corporation and expressed gratitude to the company’s board of directors and employees for their meaningful contribution.

He noted that in response to the appeal from the Presidium of the VFF Central Committee and the call from the VFF Committee of Dong Nai province for donations to help people in disaster-affected provinces and cities, the provincial VFF Committee has received contributions from many individuals, organizations, and businesses. The provincial VFF Committee hopes to continue receiving the support and solidarity of people from all walks of life to help the affected communities recover and stabilize their lives soon.

Nguyen Thi Minh Nham, Provincial Party Committee member and Editor-in-Chief of Dong Nai Newspaper and Radio, Television, shared that immediately after the provincial VFF’s call for donations, the agency organized an internal fundraising campaign that received enthusiastic support from all its officials, staff, and employees.

The agency also published the provincial Fatherland Front’s call for donations and updates on fundraising activities to support disaster-affected people across the province through Dong Nai Newspaper, Radio and Television’s media platforms. Through this connection, C.P. Vietnam Corporation expressed its wish to have Dong Nai Newspaper and Radio, Television act as a bridge to transfer its donation to the provincial VFF Committee, joining hands with the province and the nation to help disaster-hit communities recover and rebuild their lives.

Nguyen Quoc Khang, Deputy General Director in charge of Administration and Human Resources of C.P. Vietnam Corporation, shared: “Through Dong Nai Newspaper and Radio, Television, we are honored to extend our contribution to the VFF Committee of Dong Nai Province to support people affected by natural disasters.”

He added that the company has also coordinated with local authorities and central agencies in disaster-stricken areas to carry out various relief activities, including assistance for employees affected by floods, support for farmers in preventing livestock diseases post-flood, and aid for breeders to rebuild their herds.

In the coming time, C.P. Vietnam Corporation hopes to continue participating in social welfare initiatives launched by the VFF Committee of Dong Nai Province.
