What's different about the 2025-2026 school year opening ceremony in Dong Nai compared to previous years?

The opening ceremony for the 2025-2026 academic year will take place simultaneously across the country on the morning of September 5. However, this year's program will feature several changes compared to previous years.

Accordingly, all educational institutions from preschool to university levels will simultaneously organize the opening ceremony for the new 2025-2026 school year on the morning of September 5.

The opening ceremony will consist of two parts: the festive segment and the formal segment. The festive segment will take place at each school, featuring concise activities such as welcoming incoming students, performing celebratory art programs, announcing the occasion, introducing attending delegates, and presenting congratulatory flowers and student awards from provincial and local leaders. All schools must complete the festive segment of the new academic year's opening ceremony before 8:00 a.m.

In the formal segment, delegates and students will gather in classrooms to attend the ceremony marking the 80th anniversary of the founding of the National Ministry of Education (August 28, 1945 – August 28, 2025), now the Ministry of Education and Training, in conjunction with the official opening of the 2025–2026 academic year. The ceremony will be broadcast live on VTV1, Vietnam Television, from 8:00 to 9:30 a.m.

The ceremony will be attended by leaders of the Party, State, National Assembly, and Government, along with ministries, sectors, and localities, along with representatives of typical generations of teachers, outstanding students, and excellent university students nationwide.

Schools following the live televised broadcast of the anniversary and new school year opening ceremony will conduct the flag salute and sing the national anthem simultaneously with the official ceremony taking place at the My Dinh National Convention Center.

In Dong Nai, leaders of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, and leaders of departments, agencies, and sectors will attend and share the joy of the 2025-2026 new school year opening ceremony with many educational institutions. The province also allocated more than 1 billion VND to award scholarships to disadvantaged students and university students in the province during the opening ceremony.
