The Dong Nai Provincial Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term is an important political event to review the results achieved over the past 5 years and set development orientations for the province in the coming period.
In the enthusiastic atmosphere in the run-up to the congress, trade union officials, union members, and employees in the province place great trust and high expectations on the new decisions and orientations that the congress will set forth.
Trust and expectations
Looking back over the past 5 years, under the leadership of the Party, the lives of the people, including the labor force in Dong Nai, have significantly improved, while social welfare has been ensured. In addition, the implementation of resolutions and guidelines has become part of the daily lives of the employees in industrial parks. Trade union officials, union members, and employees highly appreciate the province's outstanding achievements in socio-economic development, administrative reform, job stability, and the employees’ income. It is these results that have strengthened the employees’ trust in the leadership of the Provincial Party organization.

In the lead-up to the Provincial Party Congress, the union members and employees place great trust and expectations on strong, breakthrough decisions to promote economic development and improve workers' lives. These include increasing wages, social welfare, ensuring employment, and a safe and equal working environment. Many officials and union members firmly believe that, under the leadership of the Party, Dong Nai province will continue to develop stably and strongly, and the role of workers will be increasingly affirmed.
Nguyen Thi Mai Chi, Chairwoman of the grassroots Trade Union of New Apparel Far Eastern Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Dong Phu Commune, Dong Nai Province) said she completely agreed with and trusted the orientations and decisions that the Provincial Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term would put forth. This will be an important foundation for Dong Nai to continue to develop strongly, maintaining its role as a leading economic and industrial center nationwide. As an organization representing the voice of employees, she and the collective of employees expect practical and specific policies to improve the quality of life for workers, especially in the context of rising market prices.
According to Mai Chi, it is also very important to strengthen the works of training and updating knowledge for Trade Union officials and management staff at the grassroots. "When being fully equipped with knowledge and skills, the Trade Union officials will advise and support the employees more effectively, helping better connect the employees with the policies and guidelines of the Party and the State. I believe that, with the attention and willingness to listen from the provincial leaders, along with the active companionship of the Trade Union organization, the employees’ lives in Dong Nai will be increasingly improved, contributing to the sustainable development of the province," Mai Chi shared.
Many issues related to social welfare are also of particular concern to the employees. Nguyen Thi Hang, a worker at Bien Hoa 2 Industrial Park, Tran Bien Ward, said: Currently, workers' wages are still low compared to the minimum living standard. In addition, the issue of businesses owing social insurance to workers still remains. Therefore, workers hope that the province will have solutions to ensure their rights. The State needs to pay attention to adjusting the regional minimum wage to suit the current cost of living.
Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao, a Party member and worker at Pacific Garment Joint Stock Company (Dau Giay Commune, Dong Nai Province) shared: "We believe that the Dong Nai Provincial Party Congress will make strong decisions to improve employment and income for workers. We always unite and strive in our work to contribute to the socio-economic development of the province."
Creating a breakthrough on social housing and schools
A survey by the Dong Nai Provincial Labor Federation estimates that about 450,000 workers in the province are in need of housing by 2025, while the current number of social housing units is very limited, creating a large gap that needs to be addressed in the near future. Therefore, most workers expect the province to accelerate the construction of social housing, supporting the workers to rent or buy houses at preferential prices to settle down and stay committed to the locality.
Le Thuy Hanh, a worker in Long Binh ward, Dong Nai province, said: Currently, with a salary of about 8 million VND/month, her family can only cover living expenses, so the opportunity to buy or rent social housing is increasingly difficult. To help workers easily access social housing, the local government's attention is very much needed in facilitating procedures and easy access to low-interest loans with longer repayment periods.
"In a spirit of solidarity, responsibility, and faith in the leadership of the Party, the cadres, union members, and employees in the province will continue to promote the tradition of patriotism, enthusiastically compete in labor and production, contributing their intellect and efforts to the cause of building a rich, strong, and civilized homeland."
Bui Thi Bich Thuy, Standing Vice Chairwoman of the Dong Nai Provincial Labor Federation
Dinh Sy Phuc, Chairman of the grassroots Trade Union of TKG Taekwang Vina Joint Stock Company (Bien Hoa 2 Industrial Park, Tran Bien ward) said: With its favorable geographical location, Dong Nai is expected to continue to be a leading province in the region in terms of industry, logistics, transportation, urban development, etc. Regional connectivity and infrastructure development, especially Long Thanh airport, are considered important factors to promote strong growth. Accordingly, the demand for labor will increase. To attract human resources, social welfare issues need more attention.
Specifically, attention should be paid to developing more schools for workers' children, especially in densely populated industrial zones. In addition, it is expected to have policies to support the purchase of social housing, so that the workers have opportunity to stabilize their accommodation and feel secure about working in the long term in the province. Especially, building cultural institutions to improve the spiritual life of workers should also receive attention. This is a very large and practical need. “Trade union officials and members in the province are placing their trust in the Provincial Party Congress to adopt sound and breakthrough decisions that are closely aligned with the workers’ lives." Phuc shared.
The trust and expectations expressed by the cadres, union members, and employees are the basis for the Provincial Party Congress to make breakthrough decisions that are close to the people's daily lives, including the labor force, a key resource in the province's socio-economic development.
