The Dong Nai Employment Service Center was established under Decision No. 154/QD-UBND dated July 1, 2025, issued by the Provincial People's Committee. Following the merger, the center has a total of 105 civil servants and employees.

In the first eight months of 2025, the center provided employment counseling to more than 85,000 workers and referred over 9,000 for job placements. It also organized nine job fairs with nearly 170 participating enterprises.

Regarding the reception and processing of unemployment benefits, the center issued benefit decisions to more than 40,000 individuals, with total disbursements exceeding 1.3 trillion VND.

The Dong Nai Employment Service Center proposed that the Department of Employment consider developing a nationwide software system for managing unemployment insurance operations, integrated with the National Population Database, to facilitate the processing of unemployment benefits, support verification procedures, and prevent insurance fraud.

The center also proposed that the Department of Employment and the Provincial People's Committee provide funding to repair its headquarters and major infrastructure facilities.

At the working session, Vu Trong Binh, Director of the Department of Employment, requested the Dong Nai Employment Service Center to develop a long-term strategic plan and clearly define its core functions, including employment services, labor market information, and employment counseling for workers.

He also emphasized the need to establish an autonomous operational mechanism following the recent merger, form joint ventures and partnerships with businesses to provide practical vocational training and supply labor to enterprises.

In addition, the center should assign personnel to maintain close engagement with industrial parks and enterprises to stay informed about labor market trends, employment conditions, and recruitment needs, in order to provide better support for job placement for workers.

Speaking at the working session, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Truong Son highly appreciated the outstanding results of the Dong Nai Employment Service Center in recent times, especially in career counseling, orientation, job placement for workers, and human resource supply, contributing to the socio-economic development of the province.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Truong Son requested the center to incorporate the Department of Employment’s recommendations in order to innovate and enhance its operational models in the time ahead. He emphasized that the team of civil servants and employees must strive to work with professionalism and dedication, while learning from the experience of other units in the employment sector to fulfill their assigned duties effectively.

In addition, the center should collect and provide labor market information, and strengthen connections among vocational schools, businesses, and the Employment Service Center in training, counseling, and job placement activities.
