Nguyen Quoc Dung elected Chairman of the Dong Nai Provincial Federation of Labor

On the afternoon of August 11, the Dong Nai Provincial Federation of Labor held the first Executive Committee Conference for the 2023-2028 term.

The conference was attended by Nguyen Tat Do, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Nai Province, along with representatives from relevant Party Committees of the Provincial Party Executive Committee.

At the conference, the Executive Committee of the Provincial Federation of Labor conducted a by-election to appoint Nguyen Quoc Dung, member of the Provincial Party Committee and former Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee’s Organization Commission, to the Executive Committee and Standing Committee. He was unanimously elected (with 100% confidence votes) as Chairman of the Dong Nai Provincial Federation of Labor for the 2023-2028 term.

Previously, the Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee had announced its decision to transfer Nguyen Quoc Dung, member of the Provincial Party Committee and Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee’s Organization Commission, to work at the Provincial Labor Federation from August 1, 2025.

Simultaneously, it nominated Nguyen Quoc Dung for consultation to hold the position of Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Nai Province and for by-election to the Executive Committee and Standing Committee, serving as Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Labor for the 2023-2028 term.

In his acceptance speech, Nguyen Quoc Dung pledged with his responsibilities at the Provincial Federation of Labor, he would dedicate himself to learning and working closely with the Executive Committee and Standing Committee to effectively implement tasks assigned by the Party, State, and the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, contributing to building an increasingly strong and developed trade union organization.

At the conference, the Executive Committee of the Provincial Federation of Labor adopted the draft working regulations and assigned responsibilities to its Executive Committee, Standing Committee, and Inspection Committee for the 2023-2028 term.
