On September 12, Dong Nai General Hospital held a ceremony to announce the implementation of electronic medical records (EMR).

In line with directives from the Government and the Ministry of Health on the implementation of electronic medical records (EMR), the Party Committee and Board of Directors of Dong Nai General Hospital approved the proposal and directed departments and units to prepare the necessary conditions for deployment urgently.
The hospital has invested in server infrastructure, including three machines dedicated to medical examination and treatment systems; selected a partner to provide EMR solutions; implemented antivirus systems for servers and key workstations involved in EMR deployment; and upgraded its firewall system to meet Level 2 information security standards.
Speaking at the ceremony, Le Quang Trung, Deputy Director of the Dong Nai Department of Health, emphasized that EMR is considered an important solution to simplify administrative procedures and make it easier for doctors and nurses to monitor and manage patients’ health.

As of now, three hospitals in Dong Nai province have implemented electronic medical records (EMR): Long Khanh Regional General Hospital, Thong Nhat General Hospital, and Dong Nai General Hospital. According to the roadmap set by the Government and the Ministry of Health, all medical facilities with inpatient beds nationwide must implement EMR by September 30, 2025.
