At cracked and rutted spots, the contractor will mill off damaged asphalt layers (average thickness 6cm), apply CRS-1 rapid separating emulsion adhesion, standard of 0.5kg/m2, and overlay with C19 asphalt concrete up to the existing road surface elevation. At locally deformed areas, the entire pavement structure, including base and surface layers, will be excavated to the full depth of damage (minimum 27 cm) and restored to match the standard and elevation of the existing road surface.
At repairing areas, construction unit will repaint the reflective road marking system, and additional traffic signs will be installed near schools.

| National Highway 14 has a high traffic density. The section through Bu Đang commune is narrow and steep; therefore, the contractor focuses on placing reflective cones and assigning personnel to guide and regulate traffic. Photo: Quang Minh |
Nguyen Van Duong, construction manager said: Currently it is the rainy season in the southern region, so we are mobilizing equipment and manpower to carry out the work with the spirit of completing each section neatly as we go. National Highway 14 has heavy traffic and a narrow, steep roadbed through Bu Dang. During construction, we strictly implement all traffic safety measures, set up reflective posts, and deploy personnel to regulate traffic. We take advantage of the early morning hours and clear midday weather to accelerate progress and ensure the project is completed on schedule.
