The Dong Nai Provincial Youth Union has directed both commune and ward-level Youth Unions to continue implementing the “Skillful Mass Mobilization” model for classifying recyclable solid waste for reuse and recycling at source (hereinafter referred to as “the model”).
The Provincial Youth Union requested the commune- and ward-level Youth Unions to coordinate with the Women’s Union and the Economic Office/Economic–Infrastructure–Urban Office of the same levels to raise awareness among Youth Union members and young people about environmental protection, the harmful effects of waste, and the benefits of classifying solid waste and plastic waste that can be reused and recycled at the household level. Activities should be organized to encourage Youth Union members and young people to participate in sorting, recycling, and reusing solid waste and plastic waste.
In addition, Youth Union organizations at all levels will continue to work with media agencies to produce and publish information on the activities of Youth Union members and young people in environmental protection, sorting solid waste, and reusing and recycling plastic waste. They will proactively integrate communications about the model into Youth Union meetings, training sessions, and social media platforms. They are also encouraged to actively participate in monitoring compliance with environmental protection laws by organizations and individuals, as well as to study and propose solutions for the effective implementation of the model...
