Practical activities for workers

In the spirited atmosphere celebrating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day (September 2, 2025), trade unions at all levels in Dong Nai simultaneously launched practical support activities, contributing to improving the material and spiritual well-being of union members and workers, and fostering a vibrant spirit of labor and production emulation.

Comprehensive care

Recently, the grassroots trade union of Lixil Vietnam Global Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (Long Thanh commune) announced a bonus of 100,000 VND/person for all union members on the occasion of National Day on September 2. The bonus is not large, but timely encourages workers to celebrate the holiday happily and enthusiastically. Previously, the grassroots trade union coordinated with the company to organize a "Trade Union Meal" for more than 1,400 workers throughout the company. The meal, valued at 80,000 VND per meal, brought joy and warmth to the workers. In addition, the Trade Union also organized a women's volleyball tournament with attractive prizes to attract workers to participate.

In addition to the above activities, the grassroots trade union of Lixil Vietnam Global Manufacturing Co., Ltd. has actively supported workers in accessing loans to improve their living conditions. At the same time, it has launched production emulation campaigns during peak periods to enhance product quality. Since the beginning of the year, the company’s trade union has continuously organized various welfare initiatives for union members, notably the “Bottle of Kindness” model, which involves collecting plastic bottles for recycling to raise funds in support of workers facing hardship. This model offers dual benefits, protecting the environment while fostering care and solidarity among workers. The trade union also helps workers access loans and purchase affordable fashion items, among other support measures.

The close and effective activities of trade unions at all levels for workers have become a highlight of this year's National Day celebrations. They affirm that the trade union organization not only addresses material needs but also preserves and promotes cultural values and the spirit of solidarity among workers.

Vo Thi Thu, a worker at Lixil Vietnam Global Manufacturing Co., Ltd., shared that one meaningful initiative that received strong support from workers was the “Trade Union Meal” program, which was carried out in a warm and caring atmosphere. During the event, workers were happy to engage in conversations with trade union officials and felt heard, understood, and supported. In addition, reward activities during holidays and Tet provide significant motivation for workers.

"Working in an environment where we feel cared for, we feel shared, connected, and motivated. That is our goal to stay committed and feel secure in production," Thu confided.

As part of efforts to support workers, the Trade Union of Dong Nai Rubber Corporation recently visited and presented gifts to 96 guard posts across 10 production teams, with a total value of 43 million VND. For these workers, this year’s National Day, September 2, holds added meaning and joy as trade union officials visited rubber plantations and farms to hand over the gifts personally. On the faces of workers after a long day of rubber tapping were expressions of joy, renewed motivation to contribute, and hope for a fulfilling and happy life nurtured by the rubber trees.

A representative of the Trade Union of Dong Nai Rubber Corporation said: In addition to giving gifts to workers, the Trade Union also awarded 48 outstanding individuals in the emulation movement who exceeded the July 2025 production plan, with a total value of nearly 29 million VND. The corporation's Trade Union launched the Production Increase Emulation Movement in August to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2. Collectives and individuals who meet and exceed production will be promptly rewarded to spread the spirit of emulation throughout all workers of the corporation.

Increasing holiday leaves for workers

On the occasion of this year's National Day on September 2, many businesses with a large number of workers in the province have decided to give their workers long holidays for travel or to visit family. Specifically, the grassroots Trade Union of Pouchen Vietnam Co., Ltd. (a business with over 14,000 employees, located in Bien Hoa ward) has announced that all employees will be off for the National Day holiday from August 29 to the end of September 3, 2025. In addition, the grassroots Trade Union will give each union member a gift of essential goods; the company will award a Mid-Autumn Festival bonus of 100,000 VND/person to official employees who have signed labor contracts.

Nguyen Tan Phap, Chairman of the grassroots Trade Union of Pouchen Vietnam Co., Ltd., said: For this year's National Day holiday, the trade union met and agreed with the company's leaders to give workers 5 days off, more than in previous years, so that workers have time to rest, take care of their families, and visit relatives in their hometowns. To encourage employees, the trade union successfully organized "Trade Union Meals" worth 69,000 VND per meal, and also gave gifts to all employees.

"These activities not only have the meaning of spiritual encouragement, but also demonstrate the responsibility of the Trade Union organization in accompanying employees, helping them feel secure to stay and contribute to the development of the company," Phap shared.

At TKG Taekwang Vina Joint Stock Company (Bien Hoa 2 Industrial Park, Tran Bien ward), the company's Board of Directors announced the holiday schedule and bonuses for the National Day holiday. According to the announcement, after discussion and agreement with the Executive Board of the grassroots Trade Union, the company agreed to give employees 2 consecutive days off on September 1 and September 2. Regarding the September 2nd holiday bonus, the bonus amount is one day's salary, calculated based on the basic wage and production support allowance (if any) for August 2025.

Accompanying the workers, the grassroots trade union of TKG Taekwang Vina Joint Stock Company also organized activities such as: Giving gifts to all union members and employees; providing support to 10 union members in difficult circumstances, worth 10 million VND/person; providing support to 40 union members with seriously ill relatives, 3 million VND per person; awarding 100 scholarships to children of union members who overcome difficulties, 1 million VND per scholarship. In particular, the "Circle of Love, Connecting Hearts of Labor Union Members" Fund provided support to 4 union members with critical illnesses, worth 70 million VND per case.

In addition to gift-giving and holiday bonus activities widely held in industrial parks, many grassroots trade unions in Dong Nai also coordinated with businesses to organize cultural and sports events, fostering a lively and competitive spirit among workers. Specifically, the grassroots trade union of Freewell Co., Ltd. (Bac Dong Phu Industrial Park, Dong Phu Commune) recently held the "Green Race" swimming competition. At the same time, Pou Phong Vietnam Co., Ltd. (An Vien Commune) organized badminton tournaments for employees. Alongside these, collective exercise sessions during working hours and the display of banners and slogans were implemented across factories and enterprises to celebrate National Day (September 2).
