Mobilizing the people's contribution to protect national security

(ĐN) - Dong Nai is one of the key provinces in southern Vietnam in terms of socio-economic development. With its strategic position in national defense and security, and its border with the Kingdom of Cambodia, the "All People Protect National Security" movement holds particular importance. Effective implementation of this movement not only provides a solid foundation for ensuring social peace and order but also creates a favorable environment for investment, production, and development, while strengthening national defense in this critical region.

In recent years, the "All People Protect National Security" movement in Dong Nai Province has been widely implemented and continuously renewed in both content and form, with many practical and effective initiatives that have successfully engaged a broad range of cadres, Party members, citizens, and businesses. To date, the province has established 471 self-managed security and order models across 95 communes and wards, among which seven outstanding models have been replicated nationwide by the Ministry of Public Security. Notable examples include the "Self-prevention, Self-management, Self-protection, and Self-reconciliation" model on security and order in residential areas, schools, businesses, and state agencies, as well as the "Security and Order Camera" system.

The Entrepreneur Fund for Security and Order in Dong Nai Province is a unique initiative created by the province as part of the All People Protect National Security movement. This model reflects strong humanitarian values, promoting the role of local businesses in supporting public security and order, while working closely with authorities at all levels to help many former inmates reintegrate into their communities, stabilize their lives, and become productive members of their families and society. Since its establishment in 2010, the fund has mobilized contributions from 954 entrepreneurs, enterprises, and religious dignitaries from both within and outside the province, raising over VND 28 billion and organizing loans for 1,284 individuals totaling more than VND 35 billion.

Dong Nai is a key province for socio-economic development in the southern region of Vietnam and also faces potential risks to security and order. This challenge demands significant efforts to ensure security and stability, maintaining safety for the province's development. Beyond the central role of the police force, cooperation from the entire political system, the people, and businesses is essential in preserving security and order.

Accordingly, Dong Nai should continue to expand effective security and order models; intensify legal education and dissemination efforts at the grassroots level, with a focus on specific target groups, particularly industrial park workers, students, ethnic minorities, and residents in remote, rural, and border areas. In addition, it is essential to further promote charitable activities, mass mobilization, and social welfare efforts in close association with the All People Protect National Security movement, while promptly recognizing and rewarding outstanding models and individuals. Only by doing so can a broad public consensus be built in crime prevention and control, the protection of national security, and the maintenance of social stability, creating favorable conditions for socio-economic development and strengthening national defense and security in a key economic region of the South, such as Dong Nai.
