Amid the vast waters of La Nga floating village (La Nga Commune, Dong Nai Province), alongside stories of fishermen’s lives and experiences in cage fish farming, a new story is being told. It is the story of solar panels glittering on the roofs of many floating houses, lighting up daily life and opening a green future for local residents.

La Nga floating village, once familiar with the image of old, weathered houses and a hard-earned livelihood, is now gradually “changing its face.” Many households have taken the initiative to use green energy from solar power to improve their quality of life. A long-time fish cage farmer in the village shared: “Previously, the power grid was too far away, and running generators was costly and noisy. Seeing some neighbors effectively using solar panels, I decided to make the investment. Now, we have stable electricity around the clock, without any worries about shortages, and we save money on fuel.”

Solar panels not only provide clean energy and reduce living expenses but also create opportunities for villagers to enhance their living spaces. Many floating houses are no longer just shelters; they are now adorned with flower trellises and lush greenery, reflecting the steadily improving lives of La Nga’s floating community.
