(ĐN)- In less than a month, Dong Nai will officially participate in the national exhibition celebrating the country's achievements on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day (September 2, 1945 – September 2, 2025), taking place in Hanoi.

Spirit and cultural identity of Dong Nai
Located within the “Prosperous Provinces” zone, Dong Nai’s 400m² exhibition space is meticulously designed and divided into five main sections: History and Nature; Highlights of Party and Government Activities; Cultural Identity and Social Activities; Economic Achievements; and Development Orientation. In particular, Dong Nai’s cultural and historical depth is brought to life through prominent symbols such as Tran Bien Temple of Literature – the first of its kind in Southern Vietnam, the Temple of Nguyen Huu Canh, and national treasures like the Long Giao pangolin bronze statue and the Loc Hoa lithophone.
Dong Nai takes pride in being a land that embodies a diverse, multi-ethnic cultural identity. This is vividly expressed through ethnic artifacts such as brocade, baskets, jars, and traditional festivals of the S’tieng, Ma, Choro, Hoa, and Mnong communities. The province's cultural development is also closely linked with a variety of historical and natural sites, including archaeological remains, historical monuments, architectural heritage, and scenic landscapes. A special display area will be dedicated to Bien Hoa ceramics, a signature local craft. Altogether, these elements help narrate the stories of culture and identity unique to Dong Nai.
According to Deputy Director Vu Thanh Ngu of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the department has actively advised the provincial People’s Committee to align with the national exhibition plan issued by central authorities. To date, the department has closely coordinated with other agencies and units to highlight Dong Nai’s achievements while ensuring timely and compliant implementation. The exhibition is expected to be completed by August 15 and ready for display in Hanoi.
With the theme “Dong Nai takes flight in a new era”, the exhibition aims to systematically and vividly present the province's achievements over 80 years of development and integration alongside the nation. It is also an opportunity to inspire confidence, strength, and ambition across localities, including Dong Nai, to collectively move forward into a new era of national advancement,” Mr. Vu Thanh Ngu emphasized.
Aspiration for growth, integration, and takeoff
One of the focal points of Dong Nai’s exhibition space is the administrative map of the province, featuring the provincial administrative center and Long Thanh International Airport – a strategic symbol in the province’s development vision through 2030 with a 2050 outlook. Currently, Dong Nai ranks among Vietnam’s leading provinces in economic development, budget revenue, foreign investment attraction, and is widely regarded as a cradle of the country’s industrialization.
Covering an area of nearly 12,740 square kilometers and home to nearly 4.5 million people across 95 commune-level units, Dong Nai is expected to become a new, dynamic, modern, and comprehensive growth hub. It aspires to be a center for industry, commerce, logistics, scientific research, and innovation. In parallel, the province’s agricultural strengths, particularly its signature products of rubber, cashew, and pomelo, have become renowned brands both domestically and internationally.
One of the most promising spaces set to leave a lasting impression on visitors at the National Urban Development Exhibition is Dong Nai's booth showcasing local cuisine and OCOP (One Commune One Product) specialties. Here, iconic local delicacies such as deep-fried sticky rice balls with cashew, pomelo salad, mango salad with dried lizardfish, Long Khanh rambutan chicken salad, fish noodle soup with rattan shoots, forest herb beef salad with cashews, and Tan Trieu pomelo sweet soup will be introduced to the public. This space not only offers a taste of local cuisine but also serves as an enticing invitation from a land rich in potential for green and cultural tourism.
To enhance the visitor experience, Dong Nai’s exhibition area will also incorporate modern technology applications including video presentations, LED screens, live narrations at the display zones, and interactive scale models. These multimedia tools are designed to offer audiences a multi-dimensional and immersive understanding of the province’s outstanding achievements across economic, cultural, and social fields. Through this, Dong Nai aims to promote and extend its image to domestic and international audiences.
Le Thi Ngoc Loan, Provincial Party Committee member and Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, stressed that the national exhibition of achievements is a major political and cultural event. It plays a significant role in fostering patriotism, national pride, and the spirit of dedication and innovation. Through the exhibition, the province seeks to honor and spread the values of its culture, history, and socio-economic achievements while reaffirming its identity, position, and internal strength on the path toward modernization and global integration.
