Dong Nai People’s Committee Chairman Vo Tan Duc receives citizens

On the morning of August 22, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Dong Nai People’s Committee Vo Tan Duc held a reception for citizens Nguyen Van Loi and Pham Thi Thoa from Bom Bo Commune. The citizens filed complaints related to land acquisition, compensation, and site clearance for the rubber plantation project aimed at creating a poverty reduction fund in the former Binh Phuoc Province.

After listening to the citizens’ presentations and the opinions of relevant departments and agencies at the meeting, and reviewing related documents and records, Chairman of the Dong Nai People’s Committee delivered the following conclusion: The former Bu Dang District People’s Committee had carried out enforcement procedures in accordance with the law to implement decisions on remedial measures for administrative violations in the fields of forest management, forest protection, and forest product management at subzones 174, 175, 176, and 177 under the Bu Dang Protection Forest Management Board. The acts of Nguyen Van Loi and Pham Thi Thoa in transferring, encroaching, and illegally occupying forest land under the Bu Dang Protection Forest Management Board were unlawful.

In this case, the citizens do not qualify for compensation or support for crops, as the acquired land contained crops planted after January 1, 2008. The former Binh Phuoc People’s Committee resolved the matter fairly, reasonably, and in accordance with legal provisions. The Chairman Vo Tan Duc  requested the citizens to comply with the settlement.

On July 29, 2025, the Dong Nai People’s Committee issued Report No. 77/BC-UBND on the review results of several cases, proposing that the Government Inspectorate consider and agree to remove them from the monitoring list of prolonged and complex complaints and denunciations in Dong Nai Province (including the case of Thoa and Loi).
