On the morning of August 18, agencies, units, and organizations in Dong Nai province held launching ceremonies to mobilize support for Cuban people.
The activity was part of the national launching ceremony for the program to mobilize support for the Cuban people with the theme “65 Years of Vietnam–Cuba Solidarity,” marking the beginning of 65 days of mobilization (August 13 to October 16, 2025) to support the people of Cuba, initiated by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society.
* On the morning of August 18, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Nai province also organized a launching ceremony to mobilize support for the Cuban people. Attending the launching ceremony were Ha Anh Dung, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Nai province, and Vice Chairmen of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Nai province: Nguyen Tat Do, Nguyen Tan Phu, Luu Thi Ha, along with all officials and civil servants of the unit.

At the launching ceremony, leaders of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Nai province stated that the relationship between Vietnam and Cuba is a special, steadfast friendship and a symbol of international solidarity between two nations sharing the common ideals of independence, freedom, and socialism. Especially, 2025 marks the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Cuba (December 2, 1960 - 2025) and it is also the "Vietnam - Cuba Friendship Year".
With the goal of mobilizing at least 65 billion VND to support Cuban people in overcoming difficulties caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, natural disasters... and continuing to steadfastly build and defend the country, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Nai province called on all officials, civil servants, and employees of the entire unit to actively respond and support the program.
Leaders of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Nai province emphasized: Every contribution, no matter how small, is a noble gesture, demonstrating deep affection and providing more strength to the people of Cuba
* In response to the call of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society, on the morning of August 18, officials, public employees, and employees of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee organized fundraising and support for the people of Cuba.
With the message: "Vietnam - Cuba: Forever side by side through challenges - sharing hardships" and "Vietnam is always there", the program is a political-social event with profound diplomatic significance, commemorating the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Cuba, demonstrating the consistent affection of the Party, State, and people of Vietnam towards the people of Cuba in general and the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee in particular.
Immediately after the launching program, the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee received a total of over 12,720,000 VND from officials, civil servants, and employees in the unit through various forms such as bank transfers and direct cash contributions.
* Also, on the morning of August 18, the Dong Nai Provincial Youth Union organized a launching ceremony to support the people of Cuba.
Speaking at the program, Nguyen Minh Kien, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, and Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, emphasized that this is an important event, demonstrating the affection and sharing of the Vietnamese people with the difficulties of the Cuban people.
Participating in the launching program, officials, civil servants, and employees of the Provincial Youth Union agency contributed over 9 million VND.
In recent days, youth unions and associations at all levels in Dong Nai province have widely propagated the campaign to support the Cuban people, “65 Years of Vietnam–Cuba Solidarity” , launched by the Vietnam Red Cross Society on social media platforms to mobilize officials, union members, and youth to participate in supporting the cause.
* The Provincial Farmers' Association, in coordination with the Provincial Women's Union (PWU) of Dong Nai province, launched the campaign to support the Cuban people. Provincial Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, Chairman of the Dong Nai Provincial Farmers' Union Nguyen Huu Nguyen; Provincial Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, Chairwoman of the Dong Nai Provincial Women's Union Le Thi Thanh Loan attended the program.
This is a meaningful activity in the Vietnam - Cuba Friendship Year 2025, commemorating 65 years of diplomatic relations between the two countries. The common goal is to mobilize at least 65 billion VND to support the Cuban people with medical supplies, essential goods, and sustainable development cooperation, contributing to helping the friendly nation overcome difficulties caused by the pandemic, natural disasters, and embargo. This is also a profound activity, demonstrating the faithful and close bond of the Vietnamese people with the Cuban people - a friend who has always stood by our side in difficult times.
At the ceremony, 60 officials, civil servants, and employees of the Provincial Farmers' Association and the Provincial Women's Union contributed a total of nearly 13.3 million VND.
From August 13 to October 16, the Provincial Farmers' Association and the Provincial Women's Union of Dong Nai continue to promote propaganda and mobilize officials, members, organizations, and individuals to participate in supporting Cuban people through various forms: fundraising at agencies, units, schools, and communities; supporting via banks, QR codes, mobile applications, etc.
