On the morning of August 17, Member of the Provincial Standing Party Committee and Vice Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee, Le Truong Son, chaired a working session with leaders of border communes.

Dong Nai province currently hosts 8 border communes, accommodating over 10,000 boarding and semi-boarding students. However, only 882 classroom units have been provided. Estimates suggest that the province will require approximately VND 400 billion in the upcoming period to complete the school system.

At the working session, Le Truong Son, Member of the Provincial Standing Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee, emphasized that provincial leadership viewed investment in education in border areas as a crucial political task. This effort is closely tied to stabilizing people's lives, promoting sustainable development, and safeguarding national sovereignty.

Therefore, border localities must proactively coordinate with relevant departments and branches to review planning efforts and appropriately arrange land locations, creating a roadmap for investing in the construction of schools and classrooms. For projects that are still operational, it is essential to thoroughly assess and propose investment and repair needs, ensuring that all schools in the near future meet level 2 standards according to the Ministry of Education and Training's roadmap.

Simultaneously, localities should conduct proactive reviews of all schools' facilities in the area and promptly advise provincial leadership to develop plans for allocating investment funds at each appropriate stage.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Truong Son suggested that the Department of Education and Training should actively coordinate with localities, compile recommendations, and make proposals to promptly advise provincial leadership on phased investment plans. Notably, during the process of gathering opinions and proposing investments in projects, the involvement of school management boards who directly utilize the facilities is essential to maximize both the function and effectiveness of the projects.
