(ĐN) – Since July 7, 96 volunteer teams organized by Dong Nai provincial Youth Union have been deployed across 95 communes and wards to help local residents access and effectively utilize public administrative services. The campaign not only aims to boost digital literacy in communities but also significantly reduces time and administrative costs, especially during the rollout of Dong Nai’s new two-tier local government model.
Harnessing their youth, tech-savviness, and enthusiasm, thousands of young volunteers have fanned out across the province to assist people, particularly the elderly and those less familiar with technology, in accessing administrative procedures and digital platforms.
Nguyen Minh Kien, Vice Chairman of Dong Nai Fatherland Front Committee and Secretary of the provincial Youth Union, shared that the initiative involves nearly 1,500 young volunteers. Among the 96 teams, 95 are stationed at commune and ward levels, while a specialized mobile team, comprising IT students, is assigned to support more challenging or underserved areas.
These teams are expected to remain active at commune-level public service centers through the end of August, or until further notice from the Youth Union’s Standing Committee. Their ongoing presence plays a vital role in strengthening citizen engagement and ensuring smoother access to e-government services during a critical period of administrative transition in the province.
