(ĐN) - Vo An Ninh, Director of Dong Nai Textbook and School Equipment Joint Stock Company, said that after the merger of Binh Phuoc and Dong Nai into Dong Nai province, the supply of textbooks for the 2025-2026 school year will still follow the previous geographical areas.

Accordingly, Dong Nai Textbook and School Equipment JSC and Binh Phuoc Textbook and School Equipment Joint Stock Company are proceeding to supply textbooks according to the old geographical areas, as Dong Nai and Binh Phuoc provinces previously selected different textbooks.
The change of textbooks according to the 2018 General education program was completed in the 2024-2025 school year. Therefore, from the upcoming 2025-2026 school year, there will be no new textbooks, but all will be reprinted books. Dong Nai Textbook and School Equipment Joint Stock Company is implementing a plan to supply textbooks to the Dong Nai’s market with about 5 million new books.
As of now, the company has imported almost all new titles, combined with a large quantity of reserve textbooks already in stock, which will be sufficient to meet the purchasing needs of parents and students before the new school year begins. The company has already shipped nearly 3.5 million copies to the market (reaching 70% of the plan), and it is predicted that the demand for textbook purchases will continue to increase sharply in the coming time.
Notably, in 2025, there will no longer be a textbook price stabilization program as in previous years. Parents and students can still easily buy textbooks at local agents and bookstores. In addition, parents can register to buy textbooks at schools where their children are studying, as in previous years. After receiving orders from schools, the company will package the sets according to the registration and deliver them directly to the schools.
Regarding textbook prices, Vo An Ninh said that the cover prices of "Chan troi sang tao" (Creative horizon) and "Ket noi tri thuc voi cuoc song" (Connecting knowledge with life) textbooks from Vietnam Education Publishing House and "Canh Dieu" (Kite) textbooks from Vietnam Education Investment and Publishing Joint Stock Company were reduced in 2024. However, some reprinted books in 2025 will continue to be reduced in price after publishing units minimize production costs.
Parents only need to buy the correct and complete set of textbooks as prescribed in the curriculum of the Ministry of Education and Training and as required by the school, and should choose to buy textbooks at reputable agents or bookstores to avoid buying fake or pirated books that may appear on the market.
