Joy, emotion... are the feelings of many union members and workers with difficult circumstances in Dong Nai who received sharing, support, and gifts from the Trade Union organization during Workers' Month 2025.
For workers, the small gift brings warmth, love, and encouragement to help them overcome adversity and rise in life.
Unfortunately, Ms. Le Thi Oanh (a worker at Four Nine Co., Ltd., Long Thanh district) suffered a work accident and lost her right hand. There were times when she felt helpless and gave up. But thanks to the encouragement and support from the Trade Union and businesses , Ms. Oanh overcame the pain and inferiority complex to return to work. Currently, Ms. Oanh is assigned light work by the company, ensuring her income to take care of her family.
Ms. Oanh is one of 28 union members with difficult family circumstances and severe work accidents in Long Thanh district who recently received gifts from the Provincial Labor Federation during Workers' Month 2025.
"I am fortunate to have received support from the company and the Trade Union throughout my treatment and return to work. This Workers' Month, I again received attention, which is a motivation for me to try every day," Ms. Oanh shared.
According to the Provincial Labor Federation, in response to Workers' Month 2025, in the coming days, the Provincial Labor Federation will organize sports festivals, health check-ups for workers at businesses, and the Green Kindergarten Festival for workers' children at kindergartens in the province. In addition, businesses are encouraged to implement welfare programs and strengthen dialogue to listen to the thoughts and aspirations of union members and workers.
Ms. Ngo Thi Diem (working at Chemtrovina Co., Ltd., Nhon Trach district) could not hide her emotion when receiving a gift from a Trade Union official (2 million VND in cash and an in-kind gift). Nearly 5 years ago, Ms. Diem was diagnosed with a serious illness and had to undergo surgery, along with many rounds of chemotherapy and radiation therapy. Her health declined, but due to difficult circumstances, she still tried to work.
"With this support, I have more money for medical examinations and to improve my health," Ms. Tuyet confided.
For more than 10 years as a union member, Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Hang (a worker at Pouchen Vietnam Co., Ltd., Bien Hoa city) has been cared for by the Trade Union organization every year.
Ms. Hang said that she unfortunately suffered from cancer. After many surgeries, her health is now temporarily stable but she has to have monthly follow-up examinations. Receiving the gift from the Trade Union organization, she cried with emotion, because in her situation, what she needed most at this time was care, encouragement, and sharing. This is also a source of motivation for her to overcome her illness and herself.
