A notable highlight was the YW Festival - Spreading Positive Energy, recently organized in Dong Nai by the Central Youth Union and the Vietnam Youth Federation (VYF) in coordination with various units. This event provided YW in Dong Nai with an opportunity to "explode" after days of focused work.
"Exploding" with the Young Workers' Festival
This year's YW Festival was organized on a larger scale and for a longer duration with many exciting activities. Among them, competitions such as tug-of-war, sack race, group jump rope, water fetching, land boat race, pickleball... brought much joy and laughter to YW.
Mr. Nguyen Duc Long, a worker at Pousung Co., Ltd. (in Trang Bom district), said that his company occasionally organizes cultural and artistic activities and sports festivals for workers to have opportunities to interact and bond. However, sports festivals among YW from different enterprises in various localities are rare, so he was enthusiastic to participate.
Participating in this sports festival, he was one of the members competing in the tug-of-war event. According to Mr. Long, to participate in this event, the team members had practiced beforehand. However, the opposing team was too strong, so his unit's team stopped after the 2nd round. Although they could not reach the final match of the event, his team had the opportunity to experience and learn more competition experience from the opposing team to perform better in future sports festivals.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Huong, a worker at Saitex International Co., Ltd. (in Amata Industrial Park, Bien Hoa city) was one of the members participating in the group jump rope event. According to Ms. Huong, about 2 weeks before the sports festival, her team practiced every day. She was assigned to turn the rope for her teammates to jump. This task is quite important because if there is not enough strength and good coordination, it can easily affect the entire team's performance.
Besides the sports festival, YW also "exploded" with the Festival of Revolutionary Songs. The competing teams brought to the festival unique performances: solos, duets, singing and dancing... with content praising the Party, Uncle Ho, revolutionary traditions, and love for the homeland and country. Through this, it aroused patriotism and national pride in union members and YW. Along with revolutionary songs, to meet the musical needs of young people, at the YW Music Festival - Spreading Positive Energy, the Organizing Committee invited singers to perform songs for young people. Through this, it added positive energy, encouraged union members and YW to work enthusiastically, and contribute more to businesses and society.
Not stopping at Workers' Month
Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, Chairman of the Provincial Youth Federation Nguyen Hieu Trung said that from mid-April 2025, the Provincial Youth Union had issued a plan to implement activities in response to Workers' Month 2025.
In addition to propaganda activities about the meaning of Workers' Month; the role of the working class, the Provincial Youth Union, and the Provincial Youth Federation have directed Youth Union and Federation levels in the province to pay attention to activities that care for and support YW in all aspects. Notably, the digital literacy teams from the provincial to grassroots levels support YW with knowledge and skills in using computers, smart devices, and safe social networks; identifying malicious and fraudulent information in the digital space; using online public services..., contributing to improving digital capacity for union members and YW.
Besides, Youth Union and Federation organizations at all levels also provide YW with legal knowledge related to workers through union activity materials and social networks, helping union members and YW easily access and learn legal knowledge related to labor, insurance... to protect their own rights.Free medical examinations, health consultations, and medicine dispensing are also activities organized by the Youth Union and Association during Workers' Month. At the Young Workers' Festival - Spreading Positive Energy, the Provincial Youth Union and Provincial Youth Federation collaborated with the Provincial Young Doctors' Association and some accompanying units to organize medical examinations, health consultations, medicine dispensing, and gift-giving for young workers.
Although still young, Ms. Duong Thi Muong, a worker living in Quarter 3, Trang Dai Ward (Bien Hoa City), suffers from spinal degeneration, causing her constant pain. Due to difficult economic conditions and young children, she cannot afford examinations at large hospitals, so she goes to a clinic near her home for examinations and medicine. Seeing that the Young Workers' Festival offered free examinations by doctors from Dong Nai General Hospital, she participated to get examined and consult with doctors. After the consultation, in addition to prescribing and dispensing medicine, the doctor advised her to take medicine regularly, limit carrying heavy objects, and if possible, go to a large hospital for timely treatment.
Mr. Nguyen Hieu Trung said that in the near future, in addition to free medical examinations and medicine dispensing for female young workers in businesses, the Provincial Youth Union and Provincial Youth Federation will coordinate with units to organize training on reproductive health knowledge and skills; prevention and control of social evils to reduce social evils and crime among young workers…
