(ĐN) - On May 15, the Provincial Occupational Safety and Hygiene Council organized a dialogue conference with businesses on ATVSLĐ work in 2025 and the process of receiving and resolving administrative procedures. The conference was attended by leaders of relevant departments, agencies, and 250 businesses in the province.

Reporting at the conference, the Department of Home Affairs stated that in 2024, nearly 8.3 thousand labor accidents occurred nationwide, injuring more than 8.4 thousand people; including 675 fatal labor accidents.
In Dong Nai, the entire province experienced over 1.4 thousand labor accidents, an increase of 508 cases compared to 2023. The main causes were falls from height, being crushed by objects, asphyxiation, electric shock, toxic gas inhalation, equipment explosions, etc. Production and business sectors with many fatal labor accidents included construction, wood processing, mechanical engineering, and building material production.
At the conference, businesses shared their experiences in labor safety management at their units; and also raised difficulties in implementing labor safety work such as: health examinations for workers doing heavy, hazardous work, benefits for workers injured in labor accidents on their way to and from work, procedures for granting permits to foreign workers, the Social Insurance Law (amended), etc.
Accordingly, representatives of departments, agencies, and sectors promptly and satisfactorily answered regulations, helping businesses effectively implement the labor safety Law in their production and business activities, limiting the risk of labor accidents.
A representative from the Dong Nai Provincial Center for Disease Control informed about the process of occupational disease examination for workers. On this occasion, the Department of Home Affairs and representatives of departments and agencies implemented the process of receiving and resolving administrative procedures. Specifically, procedures for granting identification accounts to businesses, procedures for granting criminal record certificates, time for granting work permits to foreign workers, unemployment insurance benefits, social insurance for maternity, etc.
