Promoting spiritual life of workers

To promote the spiritual well-being of union members and workers during Workers' Month 2025, all levels of trade unions in Dong Nai province are organizing diverse cultural and sports activities, attracting many workers to participate. This creates a competitive atmosphere for labor production and builds a healthy cultural environment within each unit and enterprise.

Vibrant cultural and sports activities

With nearly 10,000 workers, the grassroots trade union of Dong Phuong Co., Ltd. (Trang Bom district) has paid special attention to the spiritual and cultural life of its workers in recent years. Recently, the grassroots trade union, in coordination with the company, successfully organized a sports festival with the participation of 400 athletes from 12 teams within the factory. The teams competed in exciting and highly collective and unified events such as tug-of-war, sack race, and relay race, bringing moments of fun, health, and benefit to the workers.

Dinh Thi Chung, a worker at the company, confided: "I really look forward to participating in sports activities because here, I and many other workers can show our collective strength, entertain ourselves, and most importantly, build a regular exercise and sports spirit. I hope there will be more new playgrounds for workers to participate in, providing more energy for work."

Tran Thi Duyen, General Director of the company, said that joining the vibrant atmosphere of the sports festival, she could see the workers' passion for sports. From there, the company creates time conditions to encourage workers to participate. The company commits to accompanying the Trade Union in organizing many activities to create an enthusiastic atmosphere for labor and production competition. This is a way to better care for the direct production force, those who create wealth and material for the enterprise.

The grassroots trade union of Pouchen Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Bien Hoa city) recently successfully organized a chess tournament for the company's workers. This was the first time the tournament was held, with 20 workers from the company registering to compete.

According to the company's trade union, each year the unit innovates activities to meet the wishes and entertainment needs of its workers. This year, the chess tournament created a playground for workers to express their passion and entertain themselves after work.

 Le Van Hung, a worker at the company, shared that based on the wishes and aspirations of the workers, this year the company's trade union expanded many new playgrounds, which were strongly welcomed by the workers. In addition to the chess tournament, the company's trade union recently equipped additional volleyball and badminton courts for workers to relax and exercise. From now on, after work, workers have a playground to relieve work pressure, socialize, learn, and avoid social evils, contributing to building a cultural and healthy environment at the enterprise.

Creating a healthy playground for workers

Recently, nearly 2,000 athletes, who are workers and public employees working at units and enterprises in Trang Bom district, participated in the cross-country race organized by the District Labor Federation. This year had the largest number of participants ever. The athletes arrived early and formed the number 19-5 - President Ho Chi Minh's birthday - to start the competition. The atmosphere of the tournament became vibrant as workers eagerly showed their determination to win, bringing honor to their unit.Trang Bom District Labor Federation Chairwoman Tran Thi Hong Thao said that this year, the number of athletes registered to participate in the running race was large, showing the sportsmanship of the workers. The race is not only an opportunity for athletes to compete and show their talents, but also an opportunity to interact and strengthen solidarity within units. With the participation of the workers, the organizing board increased the number of awards to nearly 60 for individuals and teams.

Meanwhile, the Provincial Civil Servants Trade Union Sports Festival 2025 also took place vibrantly, attracting many civil servants and workers to compete in two sports: pickleball and men's and women's team tug-of-war. Among them, the pickleball event gathered more than 120 male and female athletes from agencies, units, and invited guests to compete. The men's and women's team tug-of-war event had 20 teams competing. At the closing ceremony, the organizing board awarded 39 prizes to individuals and teams with high achievements. Through the sports festival, a vibrant competitive atmosphere was created, contributing to the successful completion of the political tasks of each agency and unit.

At factories and businesses, various sports competitions were organized, such as badminton, volleyball, football, cross-country running, etc. Tran Ngoc Hanh, a worker at Yuen Foong Yu Dong Nai Paper Co., Ltd. (Long Thanh district), said that since the company built a football field, he has had a space to practice and exercise after stressful working hours. He is very satisfied with this special attention and care from the company and the Trade Union.
