(ĐN)- In April, the remote districts of Cam My and Vinh Cuu were officially recognized as advanced new rural areas.
Accordingly, all 9 communes of Vinh Cuu district have met new rural standards, of which seven communes have met advanced new rural standards. The district fulfilled all 38 indicators, boasting comprehensive infrastructure, 42 out of 43 public schools meeting national standards, 76.9% of households using clean water, and an average income of VND 89 million per person.

Cam My district achieved advanced new rural standards in all 12 communes, including 4 exemplary ones. The district recorded no poor or near-poor households, with an average per capita income of VND 83 million and a 99.9% satisfaction rate among residents.
To date, Dong Nai has 114 out of 116 communes meeting advanced new rural standards. In 2025, eight more communes were recognized, including remote areas like Đak Lua, Nam Cat Tien, and Phu Thinh in Tan Phu District. Đak Lua, previously flood-prone and isolated, has improved significantly with infrastructure upgrades and successful mulberry cultivation and silkworm farming, creating local jobs.
Hung Thinh commune in Trang Bom district also saw significant results, attracting investment for OCOP health products from local medicinal herbs. The commune has no poor households and reported an average income of VND 88.7 million in 2024.
Provincial leaders emphasized continued efforts to complete all advanced and exemplary new rural criteria, especially in environmental standards and model residential areas, aiming to further improve rural livelihoods.
