(ĐN)- After two days of opening, the 2025 Union Tet Market, organized by the Dong Nai Labor Federation, continues to attract thousands of workers and union members who come to shop and participate in meaningful activities. The market is lively with a variety of quality goods at discounted prices, helping workers prepare for the Lunar New Year within their budgets.
Many workers, like Vu Minh Kien from Amata Industrial Park and Le Thi Thu from Mabuchi Motor Vietnam, expressed excitement about shopping at the market for the first time. They appreciate the affordable prices and hope the event will continue annually to support low-income workers. Running from January 14 to 19, the market features over 100 stalls offering essential goods, including 20 showcasing OCOP products (One Commune One Product) from local businesses. Workers also enjoy cultural performances, legal and health consultations, lucky draws, and food from different regions.
Additionally, the Labor Federation is distributing 5,000 vouchers worth 100,000 VND each to help workers with Tet shopping. For many, such as Hoang Thi Ngoc Minh from An Giang, this support makes a significant difference, allowing them to celebrate Tet more fully.
Beyond shopping, 100 disadvantaged workers have received Tet gifts from the provincial government, each valued at 1.3 million VND. Some, like Ha Van Vu from Ha Tinh, who hasn’t been able to return home for Tet in five years due to financial constraints, felt deeply moved by the support. These initiatives not only provide material aid but also strengthen workers' morale and sense of belonging.
According to Nguyen Thi Nhu Y, President of the Provincial Labor Federation, the Union Tet Market, now in its second year, is a key initiative in improving workers’ lives during Tet. Alongside the market, unions at all levels are organizing various programs, ensuring over 80,000 Tet gifts reach workers in need. The goal is to make sure every worker, even those spending Tet away from home, feels warmth and care during this festive season.
