Additional 6 communes in Dong Nai achieve model new rural status

(DN) – On April 25, Trang Bom district's Hung Thinh commune was officially recognized as meeting the advanced new rural standards; while 6 communes were certified as model new rural communes including Phu Loi, Phu Ngoc, La Nga, Tuc Trung in Dinh Quan district, and Xuan Hung, Xuan Bac in Xuan Loc district.

Since the beginning of the year, Dong Nai has had 3 communes achieve advanced new rural status and ten communes achieve model new rural status. Dinh Quan district led with four out of ten communes reaching model new rural standards. To date, 114 out of 116 communes in the province have achieved advanced new rural status, and 43 communes have achieved model new rural status.

Vice Chairwoman of the provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Hoang urged the communes to address shortcomings to further improve the advanced and model new rural criteria. Local authorities were also reminded to focus on upgrading infrastructure, including paving and asphalt roads, and promoting bright, green, clean, and beautiful model residential areas.
