(DN)- On February 7, Dong Nai Red Cross held a conference to review its 2024 activities and launch its 2025 plans.
According to Chairwoman Do Thi Phuoc Thien of the Dong Nai Red Cross, the organization achieved significant results in 2024. The total value of humanitarian aid, disaster prevention, and healthcare initiatives reached over 235 billion VND, exceeding the initial target by 10.7%.
Notably, voluntary blood donations in 2024 totaled over 39,000 units, surpassing the annual goal of 35,400 units. The Red Cross also mobilized nearly 24 billion VND to assist people affected by Typhoons No. 2 and No. 3.
During the event, district and city-level Red Cross branches signed emulation agreements and outlined key objectives for 2025.
On the same day, the Provincial Red Cross Executive Committee met to finalize a proposal to merge the Provincial Blind Association and the Provincial Association for Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin into the Red Cross. The committee also approved the organizational structure and membership for the 2022–2027 term.
