(ĐN)- After more than six months of implementing increased loan limits for rural clean water and sanitation programs (from 20 million to 50 million VND per household) and policy loans for former prisoners, Dong Nai’s Social Policy Bank has significantly improved livelihoods, reduced poverty, and lowered recidivism rates.

Many families, like Đinh Xuân Sơn’s in Vĩnh Cửu, have used the new loan limit to install clean water systems and upgrade sanitation facilities. Similarly, Nguyễn Tấn Nguyên’s household in Xuân Lộc accessed funding to improve their water infrastructure, highlighting the program's effectiveness.
Additionally, the policy loan program for rehabilitated individuals has supported over 100 cases, helping them reintegrate into society. One example is L.D.P. from Định Quán, who secured a 100-million-VND loan to start a home-based business after release.
In 2024, more than 45,200 households benefited from policy loans, with 116 former prisoners receiving 8.5 billion VND in funding, and over 19,100 rural families accessing 456.8 billion VND for clean water and sanitation projects.
For 2025, the demand for policy loans is expected to remain high. To ensure accessibility, Đồng Nai’s Social Policy Bank will continue refining its processes, collaborating with local authorities, and enhancing public awareness of available funding opportunities, ultimately fostering financial inclusion and sustainable community development.
