Over VND940 mil saved during Earth Hour 2025

(ĐN)- According to the National Load Dispatch Center (NSMO), Vietnam saved 448,000 kWh of electricity during Earth Hour 2025 (from 8:30 PM to 9:30 PM on March 22, 2025), equivalent to approximately VND942 million.

Earth Hour is a global annual event promoting energy conservation and environmental protection. In Vietnam, this marks the 17th year the campaign has been launched nationwide. The movement goes beyond advocating electricity savings, aiming to encourage sustainable energy production, increase the use of renewable energy, and enhance energy efficiency.

In Dong Nai, to support the event, the Provincial People's Committee issued an action plan, while local departments, the Youth Union, district-level authorities, and businesses organized activities such as cycling events and candle-lighting ceremonies to raise awareness and promote electricity conservation.
