Mobilizing social capital for rural clean water investment 

(ĐN) -According to the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, in 2024, localities in the province attracted a capital source of 408.7 billion VND to invest in about 466km of pipeline from the urban water supply system to serve the rural population. 

As a result, nearly 424,200 people in rural areas have been provided with water supply. Among them, the capital mainly mobilized from social sources. Of the total capital, the investment from the state budget is only nearly 95.6 billion VND, while the investment from social sources exceeds 313 billion VND. In addition, households in the province have been equipped with more than 11,300 household water filtration devices at a total cost of nearly 40.4 billion VND. 

Effectively mobilizing social capital for rural clean water investment is very important, as clean water is a necessary demand in people's daily lives. Investing in clean water for rural areas is one of the important criteria of the national criteria for building new rural areas. This is also a difficult criterion to implement as it requires a large capital source and long-term investment.
