(ĐN)- From 2021-2030, Dong Nai aims to develop 50,000 social housing units, exceeding the government’s target of 22,500 units, to meet housing needs for low-income workers. The province is attracting well-funded and experienced investors to accelerate projects in Bien Hoa, Long Thanh, Trang Bom, and Nhon Trach.

Currently, Dong Nai is building 13 social housing projects with 14,000 units and selecting investors for 9 more projects with nearly 12,000 units. It has allocated the largest land area in Vietnam for social housing—1,000 hectares. To speed up construction, the province has pre-selected designs, holds monthly progress reviews, and is streamlining administrative procedures.

With over 1.3 million workers, nearly half from other provinces, demand for affordable housing is high. Rapid social housing development is not only an economic priority but also a way to support workers who contribute significantly to Dong Nai’s growth.
