(ĐN)- To support disadvantaged individuals in overcoming hardships, Dong Nai has actively mobilized social resources alongside provincial budget allocations.
Currently, Dong Nai has approximately 14,400 multidimensionally poor households and many other individuals in need of assistance.

According to Cao Văn Quang, Chairman of Dong Nai Fatherland Front Committee, while the province is developing economically, some households remain impoverished or near-poor due to economic downturns. Government welfare policies play a key role in poverty alleviation, but community support is equally crucial to ensuring that "no one is left behind."
In response to this, the Fund for the Poor continues to receive contributions from businesses and benefactors. On February 5, 2025, Trường Hải Group donated 500 million VND to the fund, highlighting corporate engagement in social welfare.
Additionally, Đồng Nai collaborates with international non-governmental organizations (NGOs) to fund social security projects. These funds are often supplemented by local budgets to maximize impact.
In 2024, the Dong Red Cross Association raised over VND235 billion, exceeding its target by 10.7%. These funds were used for humanitarian aid, disaster relief, and healthcare support. In 2025, the association aims to maintain or exceed this level of fundraising.
Efforts are being made to ensure donated resources reach those who need them most. Instead of solely relying on official funds, Đồng Nai encourages direct person-to-person assistance, which, according to statistics, amounts to nearly the same value as the centrally coordinated donations.
Moreover, Đồng Nai extends its support beyond provincial borders. In 2025, Đồng Nai will provide 119 billion VND to Sơn La Province to eradicate substandard housing, reaffirming its commitment to national solidarity.
According to Võ Tấn Đức, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Đồng Nai People's Committee, the province is dedicated to assisting Sơn La in building stable housing for policy beneficiaries, impoverished households, and vulnerable groups.
With these ongoing efforts, Đồng Nai continues to lead in poverty alleviation and community welfare, fostering a spirit of mutual support and national unity.
