Dong Nai rises 11 places in provincial digital transformation index

(ĐN) – The Ministry of Information and Communications has recently released its 2023 Digital Transformation Index (DTI) report, evaluating the digital transformation progress of ministries, government agencies, and centrally governed provinces and cities.

According to the report, Đồng Nai ranked 32nd nationwide in the 2023 DTI, marking an 11-place improvement compared to 2022. The province achieved a DTI score of 0.6848, with rankings in three key pillars as follows:

Digital government: 47th place (0.7318 points)

Digital economy: 34th place (0.7295 points)

Digital society: 31st place (0.6884 points)

Among the core sub-indices, Đồng Nai performed exceptionally well, ranking among the top provinces in digital awareness and securing 7th place in digital workforce development. The province also ranked 11th in digital economic activities and 10th in digital social activities nationwide.

According to the Ministry of Information and Communications, the national average DTI score for provinces in 2023 was 0.6783, reflecting a 17.2% growth compared to 2022. Notably, for the first time, 100% of provinces and cities achieved a DTI score above 0.5, indicating significant progress in digital transformation efforts across Vietnam.

Da Nang retained its top position in the national digital transformation rankings for 2023, scoring 0.8340, followed by Ho Chi Minh City and Thừa Thiên - Huế.

Among ministries and government agencies, the Ministry of Planning and Investment led the rankings, followed by the Ministry of Finance and the State Bank of Vietnam.

This marks the fourth consecutive year that the Ministry of Information and Communications has conducted the DTI assessment at both ministerial and provincial levels.
