(DN) - On February 2, the Traffic Police Department of the provincial Public Security informed that in January 2025, the provincial traffic police recorded over 13,400 violations of the Law on Road Traffic Order and Safety 2024 (which took effect on January 1, 2025).
Specifically, from January 1 to 31, traffic police across the province recorded over 13,400 cases of traffic safety violations; revoked 708 driver's licenses; temporarily detained more than 2,700 vehicles; the estimated fines amounted to over 30.8 billion VND...
Among them, some main violations include: speeding (over 5,300 cases); violations of alcohol concentration (over 1,700 cases)...

These are violations subject to new fines according to Decree No. 168/ND-CP/2024 dated December 26, 2024, of the Government regulating administrative penalties for violations of order and traffic safety in the road traffic sector; point deduction, restoration of driving license points.
