With a total cost of VND1,200 billion and a total length of 6.4 kilometers, the road section runs from Hung Vuong Street to an intersection with Nguyen Huu Canh Street. It is expected to be completed after two years of construction.
When opened to traffic, the section would provide a direct connection between road T1 of Long Thanh airport and Cat Lai bridge that links HCMC and Dong Nai.
Simultaneously, the province has also commenced construction on two other important road projects — Ton Duc Thang Street and the extended Le Hong Phong Street.
The 3.8-kilometer-long section of Ton Duc Thang Street requires a total investment of VND639 billion and is scheduled to be completed within three years.
The extended Le Hong Phong Street in Nhon Trach District, is set to be finished by 2025 at a cost of VND216 billion. This project will improve access to Phuoc An Port in the province.
The three projects will serve as vital routes facilitating transportation to seaports, Long Thanh airport, and the key southern economic region, said Vo Tan Duc, acting chairman of the People’s Committee of Dong Nai Province.
