(ĐN)- Over the last 20 years, Long Khanh city’s Social Policy Bank provided preferential loans totaling more than VND800 billion to local poor residents and policy beneficiaries.
Particularly, more than 15,700 students and over 49,800 households got loans, creating jobs for more than 10,000 laborers. Moreover, the money was also used to build and upgrade 12,900 rural clean water and environmental hygiene projects.
The preferential credit policies contributed to sharply reduce the rate of poor and near-poor households in Long Khanh in the past time. Currently, there are only 34 poor households and 190 near-poor households in the city.
