With the theme “Connecting the community, spreading acts of kindness,” the month aims to call agencies, organizations, enterprises, philanthropists and people from all walks of life to join hands with the DNRC to support the poor and the disadvantaged people, thus building a united community staying healthy and safe amid the pandemic, natural disasters.
Addressing the event, the DNRC Chairwoman Do Thi Phuoc Thien said during the Humanitarian Month 2022 from May 1 to 31, the DNRC would strive to mobilize VND15 billion to help 70,000 people in difficult circumstances. In 2021, the movement has mobilized VND12 billion to support disadvantaged people.
On this occasion, the organizer awarded 35 scholarships to students with difficult circumstances and presented 200 gifts to policy and poor families.
