The delegation was accompanied by Chief of Military Region 7 Major General Nguyen Truong Thang, Chairman of the Dong Nai provincial People’s Committee Cao Tien Dung, and other representatives from relevant agencies under the Ministry of National Defense.

Reportedly, over the past time, local party committees and authorities at all levels have focused their leadership on the enlistment in line with the law and with strict management of the quality and good health of the enlistees.
This year, localities in the province have selected enlistees with good health, high qualification.
This year, the councils of military service at all levels have issued call-up orders on time and according to regulations. Attentively, 1.86% of the enlistees are party members, and 18.57% of them have graduated from vocational schools, colleges and universities.
In the recruitment of troops, localities have focused on improving the quality of health, education, selecting civil servants, children of officials and party members, gifted youths who have achieved good results in cultural and sports movements.
In addition, a lot of districts, including Long Thanh, Nhon Trach and Dinh Quan, have ensured a good source of and even exceeded the target on party members among the enlistees and made enlistees feel at ease to implement their military service.
In his speech, General Luong hailed Dong Nai province for the thorough preparation for the enlistment drive in 2022.
He asked the province to continue to improve the quality of recruitment with a focus on recruits’ education background, health, political quality.
He requested the provincial council of military service to give advice to better the life of discharged soldiers.
Regarding the enlistment drive for this year, he asked the province to direct its localities to strictly observe regulations, including those on COVID-19 prevention and control.
The same day, General Luong and his entourage checked the recruitment work of Long Thanh district, Dong Nai province, during which they were reported that 4.5% of the district’s enlistees are party members, 17.4% of them are college and university graduates and all of them have been fully vaccinated with three COVID-19 shots.
Speaking highly of the district’s recruitment work with high rate of recruited party members, General Luong asked the district’s council of military service to bring into play its outcomes and continuously improve the quality of enlistees.
The deputy defense minister also urged the locality to pay attention to improving health of the locals to create favorable conditions for higher recruitment quality.
