The Dong Nai Union of Friendship Organizations, the Department of Planning and Investment, and the provincial Management Board of Industrial Parks have recently coordinated in organizing a conference to review and commend notable communities for implementing Program 294 of the Provincial People’s Committee on strengthening cooperation and advocacy for foreign non-governmental aid (NGO) in the province (2020-2021).

The Dong Nai Union of Friendship Organizations, the Department of Planning and Investment, and the provincial Management Board of Industrial Parks signed a plan to coordinate in implementing Program 294 of the People’s Committee on July 7, 2020. After a year of coordinated implementation, many enterprises and trade associations have actively contributed to the sustainable socioeconomic development of the province, as well as the successful implementation of Program 294. Despite facing difficulties due to the prolonged Covid-19 pandemic, many foreign NGOs, foreign companies, and associations have always cooperated to implement humanitarian, solidarity, and friendship projects with the people of Dong Nai province.
At the conference, the Taiwan Chamber of Commerce in Dong Nai and a number of businesses continued to award symbolic boards for sponsoring social security projects in the province with a total value of VND1.2 billion.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoang, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People’s Committee, thanked and respectfully acknowledged the practical contributions of foreign associations, foreign-invested enterprises to Dong Nai province during her speech at the conference. The Vice Chairwoman of the People’s Committee emphasized that the province had always determined the cooperation and implementation of foreign NGO projects were essential. It contributes to completing the province’s sustainable development goals and expands and builds solidarity and friendship between the citizens of Dong Nai and other countries. The People’s Committee’s Vice Chairwoman asked the departments, agencies, and localities to continue promoting the implementation of solutions in the Program of the Provincial People’s Committee on strengthening cooperation and mobilizing foreign NGO aid in Dong Nai province in the 2019-2025 period.
At the event, the Vice Chairwoman awarded the Provincial People’s Committee certificates of merit to 15 notable communities. These communities have made many positive contributions to the implementation of the Provincial People’s Committee’s program on strengthening cooperation and mobilizing foreign non-governmental aid in 2020-2021.
