(ĐN)- More than 322,000 workers affected by the COVID-19 pandemic have received assistance from the unemployment insurance fund since the beginning of October.
Particularly, nearly VND805 billion in cash relief has been granted to more than 296,000 people currently participating in unemployment insurance and over 25,000 others who already stopped making contributions to the fund.
The relief provision is to implement the Government’s Resolution No. 116/NQ-CP and the Prime Minister’s Decision No. 28/QD-TTg on assistance for workers and employers hit by the pandemic.
Along with reducing employees’ unemployment insurance premium from 1 percent of their wage funds to zero percent, the province is promptly implementing an aid package to support pandemic-hit enterprises.
