(ĐN)- Dong Nai recorded 653 new cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours to 7am on October 5, bringing the province's total number of infections to 52,028, the Department of Health announced.
Bien Hoa city, which is the province’s largest pandemic hotspot, continued to record the highest number of cases, with 495 new infections.
The remaining new cases were found in Nhon Trach district (63), Trang Bom (59), Tan Phu (9), Long Thanh (9), Vinh Cuu (8), Cam My (4), Thong Nhat (3), Long Khanh city (2) and Dinh Quan (1).
Among these, 3 were detected in the community.
The province also logged 3 deaths, taking the provincial tally to 470.
Dong Nai has so far provided relief aid for 254,713 freelancers with a total amount of over VND382.07 billion.
