(ĐN)- Dong Nai reported 528 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, taking the total number of infections to 52,556, according to the Department of Health.
Bien Hoa city still topped the list with 415 new infections, followed by Nhon Trach district with 61, Tan Phu (18), Cam My (12), Vinh Cuu (11), Long Thanh (5), Thong Nhat (4) and Trang Bom (2).
Among the new cases, three was found in the community, 402 in quarantine sites and 123 in locked-down areas.
18 deaths related to the pandemic were announced on the day, raising the tally to 488.
So far, more than 2 million people in Dong Nai have been given the first vaccine shot, accounting for 90.1 percent of the province’s population aged over 18.
