(ĐN)- Dong Nai recorded 1,291 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours to 7am on September 5, bringing the provincial tally to 28,700, according to the provincial Centre for Disease Control.
New patients were found in Vinh Cuu district (657), Bien Hoa (285), Nhon Trach (275), Trang Bom (39), Long Thanh (17), Thong Nhat (9), Dinh Quan (4), Long Khanh (1).
Among the new patients, 3 were discovered in the community and the rest were recorded in locked down areas and quarantine zones.
The centre reported 4 deaths on the same day, bringing the province’s total number of fatalities to 224.
A total of over 879,000 people have been vaccinated against COVID-19 in Dong Nai, with nearly 62,000 people getting full two shots.
So far, the province provided relief aid for 68,132 freelancers with a total amount of VND102,198 billion.
