(ĐN) -The People’s Committee of Dong Nai Province has proposed the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs to provide the province with 3,100 tonnes of rice to assist people affected by Covid-19 pandemic.
The rice will be given to 208,567 people, with 15kg of rice allocated to each person, who are poor people and laborers who had lost their jobs during social distancing following the Directive No.16.
During the fight against the pandemic, the province has made its utmost efforts to mobilize sources, and spend local budget to support the poor. However, due to the prolonged pandemic, Dong Nai had imposed social distancing following the Directive No.16 for nearly two months which impacted livelihood of local people and poor employees.
