(ĐN)- Dong Nai recorded an additional 418 COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours to 7am on August 29, down 43.4 percent in cases from previous day, reported the provincial Centre for Disease Control.
Of those, two cases were found in the community and the rest in locked down areas and quarantine sites.
Trang Bom district logged the highest number of infections with 163 cases. It was followed by Vinh Cuu district with 132 cases and Bien Hoa city, with 60 infections.
The remainders were detected in Long Thanh (24), Nhon Trach (23), Thong Nhat (3), Tan Phu (2), Dinh Quan (1).
The new infections brought the province's total number of infections to 22,727. The number of recoveries stood at 9,775.
16 fatalities related to the disease were reported on the same day, lifting the province’s death toll 186.
So far, the province provided relief aid for 53,527 freelancers with a total amount of VND76.36 billion.
