(ĐN) - Dong Nai recorded 438 new COVID-19 infections in the past 24 hours to 7am on August 25, down 55.5 percent in cases from previous day.
Bien Hoa city, which is the current largest pandemic hotspot of the province, logged 177 infections, followed by Nhon Trach district, with 105 cases and Vinh Cuu district, with 52 cases.
The new cases brought the province’s total count to 19,778. Meanwhile, 10 more fatalities were confirmed, lifting the death toll to 150.
A total of 529,295 people have been vaccinated against COVID-19 in Dong Nai so far, accounting for 23.5 percent of the province’s population ages 18 and above.
As of August 25, Dong Nai provided financial support to 45,067 workers without labour contracts who lost their jobs with a total amount of VND67.6 billion.
