The land located in Binh Son Commune belongs to the management of Bien Hoa Construction & Building Material Production Company.

Dong Nai authorities have also instructed the compensation for the site clearance as well as hand over the cleared land for the project implementation.

According to the provincial people’s committee, the project needs to recoup more than 5,000 ha of land used by 18 organisations and nearly 5,300 households, and this compensation and resettlement work costs nearly VND23 trillion (nearly USD992 million).

To date, the site clearance at 17 organisations has been finished.

Once fully operational, Long Thanh International Airport will reduce the load on Tan Son Nhat International Airport in HCM City as it is expected to handle 100 million passengers and 5 million tonnes of freight each year.

Its total investment is VND336.63 trillion with construction divided into three phases.
